Edmunds.com and Parents magazine have joined forces again this year to choose the fifth consecutive list of Best Family Cars. This year's 2012 model picks are certainly impressive, especially the Toyota models that made the list!

For the first time in several years (since 2003, to be precise), one automaker has taken over Consumer Reports' "Top Picks" list, representing half of the top ten vehicles chosen. This list-dominating brand is Japanese automaker Toyota. Consumer Reports notes, "Toyota's ability to maintain its competitive lead among hybrids and SUVs is a big factor in its strong presence on this year's list."¹ The Toyota Camry Hybrid and Toyota Prius were big winners this year, but they were only two of the models chosen.
