Though the Toyota Venza made its debut a mere four years ago, Japanese automaker Toyota has decided it's time for some serious upgrades. The stylish crossover, which made its 2013 model debut recently at the NY Auto Show, will now become even more so with newly enhanced exterior styling. The new Toyota Venza will also feature several new updated option packages (with such features as the brand's Entune multi-media system) and an increased amount of standard features.

It's a sad day for Toyota fans everywhere, as the auto company has announced its Toyota Hybrid Le Mans Racer will be missing its first competition due to a crash during testing. Though the Toyota TS030 racer was set to make its debut at the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on May 5^th, it can no longer make the race.

For the first time in several years (since 2003, to be precise), one automaker has taken over Consumer Reports' "Top Picks" list, representing half of the top ten vehicles chosen. This list-dominating brand is Japanese automaker Toyota. Consumer Reports notes, "Toyota's ability to maintain its competitive lead among hybrids and SUVs is a big factor in its strong presence on this year's list."¹ The Toyota Camry Hybrid and Toyota Prius were big winners this year, but they were only two of the models chosen. The annual Geneva Motor Show is known for showcasing some of the sleekest, most unique vehicles in the world. This year, Japanese automaker Toyota really brought its "A" game with an extremely interesting new concept: the super-lightweight Toyota FT-Bh concept. The main idea of the FT-Bh concept (which stands for "Future Toyota B-Segment Hybrid") is to be as efficient as possible, will maximizing the power of a hybrid drivetrain. The concept is a future-focused vehicle and is the newest addition to the company's Hybrid Synergy Drive-powered concept line; however, it also evolves this technology to reach new heights with a lighter curb weight and a smaller engine.

The Toyota Highlander has long been built in the automaker's home country of Japan, but times are changing as the value of the Japanese yen continues to soar. The new Highlander will move its production to the United States, and Toyota has stated it will invest $400 million to expand its Princeton, Indiana plant that already constructs the vehicle stateside.

For the second year in a row, Toyota has kicked off its "100 Cars for Good" program, which awards 100 Toyota vehicles to U.S. nonprofit organizations over the course of 100 days. Winners will be selected through a public voting forum on the Japanese automaker's Facebook page, and applications will be accepted there as well, until March 12, 2012.

The new 2013 Yaris subcompact has been completely reworked to better compete with other vehicles in its segment. These vehicles challenged Toyota, and it's certainly answering.
