Not too long ago, the first 25 out of 100 winners in the "Toyota Cars for Good" contest were announced, and now another 25 have been added to that number, meaning that half of the winners have now been selected.
President and Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A, Jim Lentz, explains, "With this announcement of the next 25 winners, we mark the half-way point of the 2012 Toyota 100 Cars for Good program. Toyota created the 100 Cars for Good program as a way to give to a variety of organizations across the country and to do so with the help and support of the American public. It's the public vote that decides which organizations will receive a new Toyota vehicle and we are thrilled to see the outpouring of support for the program with thousands of votes."1
In the contest, the company is providing new Toyota vehicle each day for 100 days to commendable non-profits through daily public voting on the brand's Facebook page. Each day five finalists are featured. The winner walks away with the new vehicle, but the other organizations win a solid cash donation. So far, many of the non-profits have chosen the roomy and reliable Toyota Sienna minivan.
