The 2012 Toyota Yaris, coming in at a low base price and plenty of miles per gallon, is taking on the youth market. Every student needs a car to get to and from those college courses, or for picking up friends and getting to that internship.
The four-cylinder, entry-level vehicle comes with a large array of entertainment options. These, along with its price ranging from $14,115 to $17,200, are being touted in the latest ads: "Yaris! It's a car!" reads one small ad with "bright, cheery letters" as though written by a child.1
Three-door and five-door variants of Yaris will be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 106 horsepower. matted to a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, or five-speed manual available only on L and SE versions.
EPA fuel economy on next year's Yaris comes in at 38 highway on all variants. So, will you be test driving a Yaris at West Herr Toyota Scion of Williamsville?
